![]() ![]() Adobe originally began offering the discount on the heels of a new policy announced in November 2011 that granted discounted upgrade pricing only to CS5.5 owners. ![]() The backstory to the 20 percent-off upgrade offer is a bit more interesting. With Lightroom 4 now in public beta, the price of Lightroom 3 has been cut to $149 from $299. ( See the full list of products for both suites.). The Production Premium suite - which also includes Photoshop Extended and Illustrator - is more finely tuned to video and film production. ProDesignTools notes: “This is the lowest price ever on one of Adobe’s most popular Creative Suites”. The Web Premium suite, which also includes six more Web-specific apps like Dreamweaver, is on sale for $899, down from $1,799. While CS5.5 Design Premium (which includes InDesign) is not part of the deal, creative pros who need the latest versions of Photoshop Extended, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro may find the Web Premium package fills that need. Lightroom 3 - 50 percent off until March 5 - does not require coupon activation. The half-price offer for Web and Production Premium suites end on March 2 and requires a coupon code for purchase through the Adobe store only. Additionally, Adobe has extended its deal of 20 percent off CS5.5 upgrades until March 15. Adobe continues to clean out its pre-CS6 product inventory with special deals on three packages: Creative Suite 5.5 Web Premium and CS5.5 Production and Lightroom 3 are all available at 50 percent off. ![]()
